Day 1: Kampala – Mweya safari Lodge
- Take early breakfast and head for western Uganda. Make a stop at the Equator for photographs and handcrafts shopping.
- Proceed to Mbarara for lunch and while there look out for the famous Ankole long-horned cattle. Their 8ft horns sway gracefully like white arms waving hallelujah as the cattle move majestically all through the town.
- Journey on and enjoy the beauty of Bushenyi as you drive through tea plantations. Then as you descend, you will be awed by the western arm of the rift valley, dressed by woodland savannah. You may catch a glimpse of elephants along the way.
- Proceed to Mweya Safari Lodge. On the way, you could be welcomed by bush bucks, warthogs, kobs and a variety of bird species.
- Have your dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge located on a peninsular overlooking the famous Kazinga channel.
Day 2: Queen Elizabeth
- Breakfast will be served early and a game drive will follow. Watch the sun rise against the scenic backdrop of the Rwenzori mountains (also known as the mountains of the moon). You may chance on lions, leopards, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, topis, elephants, bushbucks and several others plus a variety of bird species.
- Relax at the lodge and whet your tongue for a scrumptious lunch. Cruise by boat on the Kazinga channel and feed the eye with sights of rare bird species like the nearly extinct shoebill stock. There are elephants and hippos to marvel at.
- Return to your lodge and relax as you enjoy the beauty of Mweya peninsular.
Day 3: Mweya safari Lodge – Kyambura gorge – Kampala
- Depart early in the morning after your breakfast and head for Kyambura gorge. Here you will track chimps and also undertake a guided nature walk as you watch birds and butterflies.
- Depart for Kampala and stop in Mbarara for lunch. Proceed and gaze at the beautiful plains and vegetation on the way. You will arrive in Kampala by evening.
