Marathons: There are seasonal marathons aimed at supporting different causes such as cancer, orphanages. The most popular is the MTN Kampala Marathon and the Mountain gorilla marathon held in the Kigezi every December.

Carnivals: Since 2014, every October, Kampala Capital City organizes a city carnival enabling residents of Kampala and the metropolitan to meet in color and lots of entertainment and variety of foods to enjoy city life.
